BREAKING—OLISA METUH SENTENCED TO SEVEN YEARS IMPRISONMENT AFTER FOUR TRIAL

A Federal High Court in Abuja has sentenced Mr Olisa Metuh to Seven years imprisonment, Mr Olisa,  who was the Former National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). He has been under trial for money laundering and criminal diversion of funds to the tune of N400 million.


The court sentenced Metuh after convicting him and found him guilty of all the charges brought against him. The charges we're filled against Mr Metuh and his company Destra Investment.

Count 1—7yrs imprisonment
Count 2—7yrs imprisonment
Count 3—5yrs imprisonment
Count 4—7yrs imprisonment
Count 5—3yrs imprisonment and to pay the sum of N25m to the Federal Government
Count 6—3yrs imprisonment
Count 7—7yrs imprisonment.

Metuh's company Dextra Investment has been forfeited to the Federal Government and dissolved. Ordered by Justice Abang.
