CBN RETURNS EXCESS BANK CHARGES TO CUSTOMERS OVER N60 BILLION

Central Bank of Nigeria{CBN] said they have returned over N60 billion excess charges to customers. Director of CBN, Mr Isaac Okoroafor made mention of this in a two-day customer sensitisation forum held in Owerri. According to Mr Isaac he said the excess recovery was retrieved through the bank's consumer Protection Department.


He said what triggered the action was complaints from 13,000 customers over excess removal of charges from their accounts. He added that Apex Bank has determined to ensure the happiness of customers.Mr Isaac has urged all customers to file complaints if they suspect any illegal form in their accounts.
