FORMER KANO SPEAKER ARRESTED BY EFCC FOR ALLEGED N1.5 BILLION FRUAD

Former Speaker, now Majority Leader of Kano State House of Assembly, Isiyaku Ali Danja was arrested by The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Tuesday 25,2020,for alleged 1.5billion fraud.


He was apparently arrested over alleged abuse of office and misappropriation of funds meant for Constituency projects. Tony Orilade, who is the acting spokesman of the EFCC, they have been traces of money paid to some beneficiaries including Allad Drilling Limited and other companies which Isiyaku is the sole signatory.

Tony revealed that Commissioner for Special Duties in the state, Mukhtar Ishaq was earlier arrested for diverting funds meant for Kano Municipal Local Government.
