ECONOMIC COMMUNITY OF W.A APPOINTS PRESIDENT BUHARI TO CO-ORDINATE THE COVID-19 RESPONSE IN THE SUB-REGION

President Muhammad Buhari has been appointed to coordinate the covid-19 response in the sub-region by the leaders of the Economic Community of West African States. 

The announcement was made by the Spokesperson for president Buhari, Femi Adeshina. Buhari participated in the summit from Abuja via teleconference. 

“ECOWAS leaders at an extraordinary summit held by video conference have appointed President Muhammadu Buhari as champion that will coordinate the COVID-19 response in the sub-region. 

“All the other Presidents will be available to support President Buhari.”he said.
