JUST IN—FASTING CONTINUES ON SATURDAY, EID-EL-FITR TO HOLD ON SUNDAY

Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA) announced that this year fasting will end on Saturday, 23rd of May, 2020. 

The new development was declared in a Tweet this afternoon by the NSCIA's

"There was no positive sighting report of the Shawwal crescent in Nigeria, tomorrow is 30th Ramadan.

“An official statement from the Sultanate will be released shortly,” 

“Saturday will be the last day of the sacred holy month of Ramadan and Eid-el-Fitr will take place on Sunday,”
