Eyitayo Jegede emerge winner of Ondo PDP primary

On Thursday, Eyitayo Jegede of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) emerged winner of the Ondo 2020 primary election which was held at the International Culture and Events Center Akure.

Eyitayo polled 888 votes to defeat his rival Agboola Ajayi, Deputy Governor of Ondo state who polled 657 votes.

Other seven aspirants are:Eddy Olafeso who polled 175 votes, Banji Okunomo who polled 90 votes, Olabode Ayorinde who polled 95 votes and Boluwaji Kunlere who polled 33 votes.

Jegede will battle with governor Rotimi Akeredolu of the All Progressive Congress (APC) which is expected to take place October 10.
