JUST IN— NLC suspend nationwide strike after reaching agreement with FG

 The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress has suspended their planned Nationwide protest scheduled to begin today Monday September 28,after reaching agreement with the Federal Government. 

The strike was canceled following the agreement that the deregulation of the oil sector and Increase in pump price was to remain as the government rolls out palliatives for Labour. 

The Federal Government also agreed to suspend the Electricity tariffs for two weeks with a joint committee headed by Festus Keyami, Minister of State for Labour and Employment, to examine justification for the new policy.
