JUST IN—NLC insists on strike action, gives FG deadline

 


The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has insisted on their proposed strike action regarding the increase in electricity tariff and petrol. 

Femi Gbajabiamila, Speaker of the House of Representatives met with the representatives of NLC at the National Assembly Complex in Abuja. 

Speaking with the reporters after the meeting, Comrade Ayuba Wabba, president of NLC said the proposed strike action by the union will commence unless the Federal Government resolve the issue. 

Ayuba also explained that the strike won't commence if the FG makes a U-turn before 12 midnight today.
