BREAKING—Nigeria officially enters into worst recession since 1987

 

Nigeria has entered into it's worst economic recession since 1987.

According to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) number the National Bureau of Statistics released on Saturday, November 21,shows that Nigeria recorded a contraction of 3.62 percent in the third quarter of 2020.

Earlier this year, the Nation had Recorded a 6.10 percent contraction in the second quarter. 

This is the Nation's worst second recession since 2016.
