Zabarmari massacre: "Did farmers killed by Boko Haram get military clearance before resuming farming activities"— Garba Shehu

Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to president Muhammadu Buhari, Garba Shehu has questioned the killing of the 43 farmers who were killed by suspected Boko Haram insurgents in Zabarmari village in Borno state.

Speaking with BBC, Garba Shehu said the farmers failed to get a military clearance before resuming farming activities.

He stated:

"The truth has to be said. Was there any military clearance from the military who are in total control of the area? Did anybody ask to resume activity?”
