Selling of government's property will benefit Nigerians— Minister of Finance, Zainab Ahmed

Zainab Ahmed, Minister of Finance has said that the selling of government's property to fund the 2021 budget will benefit Nigerians. 

During the budget presentation, Minister Zainab said the Federal Government will be selling some of it's assets to fund the 2021 budget. 

Speaking with Channels TV, Zainab said some of the goverment's old property can be sold to the private sector to be reactivated and used to fund the country's 2021 budget.

She said:

  “There are some government assets that are dead that can be sold to the private sector to be reactivated and put to use for the benefit of Nigerians.

So we are looking at different categories of government assets that government has not been able to manage, that are lying down and in some cases even completely rundown, to cede them off to the private sector.''
